Last week i was talking to a friend in Pitesti, who wanted to make a Romanian trusted system in order not to have different user and password for thousands of websites in Romania. I told him this is a big project and requires a lot of logistics and the conclusion was it was not worthy at actual Romanian Web level to develop something dedicated.
Today i received an email on this theme.
The international system that permits a single user/pass on many websites (already over 10.000 in the world) is Open ID.
Open ID Foundation have now a representative in Romania. For more details, questions and info ask Antonio Eram .
The OpenID Foundation (OIDF) was formed in June 2007 to help promote, protect and enable the OpenID technologies and community. This entails managing intellectual property, brand marks as well as fostering viral growth and global participation in the proliferation of OpenID. The OIDF does not dictate the technical direction of OpenID; instead it will help enable and protect whatever is created by the community.
