One year ago at the last EU Study on Internet usage in Europe : 18,4% of Romanians connected on Internet
The new study places Romania on the last position in Europe (and Greece after us). Nothing changed since last year. But …. let’s take a closer look.
31,1% is the new penetration rate in Romania (from 18,4%) ; 15% is broadband (although the Ministry said last year 17%)
5% of doctors use Internet in Romania ( in Bulgaria 22% and Denmark 91%) > 2% of them use communication via Internet with patients and 1% communicate online with the hospitals.
96% of schools are connected to Internet in EU and 35% in Romania (Bulgaria only 15%, Poland only 25%)
Other interesting figures :
– 250 millions Internet Users in Europe
– best countries : Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway
– bad countries: Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Greece and Cyprus ; 75% of indicators are below EU limits
