We were (with Adi) in a 3-days know-how exchange meeting in Bulgaria. I think in the following months we will talk more about Bulgaria because Underclick.ro will open a new office there. But first insight I want to give you about this market is linked to the way of measuring online and the impact on the websites and the market.
In Bulgaria the single indicator is the number of impressions. They don’t care about the number of unique visitors but only on impressions. In Romania, the most powerful indicator is … the other one, the number of unique visitors.
Result in 5 years of focusing different indicators ? Romanian market is dominated by SEO (80%) and Romanian websites are likely to anything for traffic. Bulgarian market is dominated by usability (90%) and Bulgarian websites are likely to incorporate valuable services to keep you more inside. Right now I cannot answer which is better.
