ClubAfaceri, first Google Partnership in .RO
After Google offered their services in strategic partnerships in learning field (USA and even Romania : ASE Bucharest & Politechnica ), at the end of 2007 they officially launched their services in Romania, the first Google event here. We discovered the Google Apps, solutions for companies, free or paid (depends on number of users) and Google invited web-companies to became partners .
Yesterday was launched officially the first strategic partnership of Google in Romania : ClubAfaceri.ro is official provider of Google Apps in Small Biz Solutions and they are the first full-implementation version in .RO . Now they will benefit of full Google marketing (I still remember the portals in Argentina and Brasil at Google presentation).
I tried today to make an interview with one of their officials, but they didn’t want to tell anything. In a couple of days they will release an official press information .
I am glad for ClubAfaceri.ro because is one of my first web projects and 5 years ago, staying in the smallness of a servers room, with Mihai and Bogdan, we decided to launch the biggest business website in Romania, thing happening already. For me it seems to be 20 years … such a long time ago … it’s true that in technology you work 7 years in one year!
So. We have the first official Google partnership in private medium Romania … what’s next ? I’ve heard Yahoo is around …

and where is the partnership? Google Apps has been available for over 2 years and SNSPA implemented it free of charge for all their students - http://apps.comunicare.ro/ - and i am pretty sure they don’t have any official partnerships with Google.

@ Bob > As i said, there were many learning projects, including SNSPA. And although everything is free is not quite easy to implement. Remember the main goal of these apps is MONEY and they are free up to a level.
Clubafaceri is the first partner in PRIVATE field, here is the point. And so they are called “partners” … is not about signing any documents and using official this title.
Anyway .. all this process make the company to sign a CONTRACT with Google.

ClubAfaceri.ro is not a Google partner and a press release on the implementation of GoogleApps will be published at the beginning of next week.

Man… as Adrian said earlier clubafaceri is a spam site. Many times I was looking for something on google and your site came in the first page. But it didn’t have information on the subject I was searching for. Read the comments on Scarlatescu’s blog…

intre clubafaceri si google nu exista nici un parteneriat strategic oficial. oricine se poate inscrie pentru google apps, de mai bine de 2 ani. trebuie doar sa ai un domeniu propriu si sa faci cateva setari la serverul de email. mia mult, toate mailurile si toate datele sunt stocate pe serverele google, deci pe tine nu te costa absolut nimic. plus ca mai castigi si bani daca cei care se inscriu la tine pe site folosesc google apps pentru o perioada.

My opinion is a strategic partnership for GOOGLE. In 2 years they didn’t get so much attention in Romania as they had these days. And now everybody know how this thing can be done … So , if Clubafaceri implemented this in 2 days (and i doubt of this because Google had to provide a lot of help here) … for them is a strategic partnership because reach a lot of people every day . And we write about Google. And Google just launched the new company in Romania. And … is this any strategic offensive ?
Conclusion : the big winner here is not Clubafaceri is Google
