How to steal a website
I had a preferred joke about Romanians. How do you make a Romanian omelet? You steal two eggs …
This post is dedicated to one of my business partners, Tripmedia, where Calin, Alex and Dan are making a very good and creative work. And they told me a story I didn’t believe it could be real in 2008, and in the middle of the battle for image in customer’s eyes.
They produced a website for Colliers International : Asmita Gardens. And they worked for some month. Then, another million-Euro company, launched a website for another Real Estate project : Seqa Residence, hosted on a server that catches your child if missing school (good idea!).
And surprise … the second website uses THE SAME source, slightly modified.
I don’t know what to say because the law is not on the Tripmedia side. And not on Colliers side. There is no side anyway. Because nobody registers the code at ORDA for each website. And we have the name of a new future-webcompany : PAPAconsulting.ro . They steal the code on purpose. And this fact matters!
Maybe Bogdan or Alin can help us in this matter.
